About Me

Bio
Hi, I'm John Michaux, a longtime North Carolinian with a deep connection to the state's coastal environments. I moved to Wilmington from the wonderful community of Guilford College after graduating from high school. I studied environmental science and surfing at UNC Wilmington. After graduating, I made the Cape Fear region my new home and moved to Yaupon Beach (now Oak Island) and worked, surfed and just messed around in boats. I married my wife Donna in 1987 and raised two awesome children, John II and Savanna. I love cruising on our 1982 Mainship MKII trawler with Donna and our dog, Suki. While underway I enjoy observing nature and amateur aerial drone photography. Just enjoying life and I hope you are as well. Thanks for stopping by and shoot me a note if you have a minute..
